Country Life does not claim to be an expert in environmental issues however, we have made it our mission to do all that we can to reduce the negative impact that the manufacturing and selling of our products has on the environment. The Realfood Organics supplements are packaged in a glass bottle and the bottle is placed in a biodegradable box. The box plus the bottle has less of a carbon footprint that does the manufacturing of one comparable plastic bottle. The boxes used are made form mineral powder. These mineral boxes once thrown away will degrade back to a mineral dust within two years in a landfill. No trees were cut down, nor water polluted in the making of these boxes.
Country Life has also partnered with Renewable Choice Energy in the purchase of wind power credits to offset 100% of our power usage. With this purchase we reduce the need for over 2 million pounds of coal to be burned on our behalf.
As mentioned above, the boxes are made from a limestone mineral powder. This is important because no trees were destroyed and no water was polluted to make these boxes. This allows us to support environmental preservation and deliver information related to the products being purchased. We took a similar approach on all of the collateral marketing materials. All of the individual product sell sheets are made from paper derived from various foods, such as organic mango, organic banana, organic coffee, and organic lemon. When these food sources are used for their intended purpose, the waste by-product is then turned into paper. This allows us to have paper to print on that we know does not pollute the environment with toxic chemicals such as dioxins and PCB's. No water is polluted and again no trees are cut down. This becomes a truly renewable source of paper as the plant providing the fruit is never disturbed.
