Realfood Organics employs specialists and organic fruit and vegetable raw material suppliers to grow the food to exact specifications. There are four main requirements:
- The fruits and vegetables must be certified organic.
- Verification of soil analysis to ensure a high level of fertility. A more fertile soil will provide a more nutritious and vibrant fruit or vegetable, and allow for the best possible growing conditions.
- No green harvest. We are adamant about growing the fruit or vegetable to its fullest potential before it is harvested. It is clinically proven that a fully ripe fruit or vegetable will contain a higher nutrient value than those grown and harvested green (not fully ripe).
- The majority of the fruits and vegetables have to be grown in North America as they are more likely to be relevant to our nutritional needs if they are indigenously grown.
